Do Durogesic DTrans patches have any side effects?

Yes, like all medicines Durogesic DTrans patches may cause side effects. These can include:

• constipation
• sickness or feeling sick
• low blood pressure
• drowsiness
• confusion
• feeling euphoric
• slow heart beat
• headache
• hallucinations
• skin rahes
• sweating

If any of these effects are particularly troublesome or if you have any other side effects, let your doctor know.

If you switch from another strong painkiller to Durogesic DTrans patches you may notice some withdrawal effects from the previous medicine. Tell your doctor if you feel any of the following:

• sickness or feeling sick
• diarrhoea
• anxiety
• shivering

You might notice a redness or slight itching of the skin caused by the patch. This is usually mild and will disappear after the patch is removed.

If it does not or if the patch irritates your skin more severely then tell your doctor or nurse.
