Where should Durogesic DTrans patches be placed?

The Durogesic DTrans patch should be stuck onto flat skin on the upper body or upper arm. The skin should not have any cuts, spots or other skin blemishes and should not be hairy. Cut off any remaining hairs with a pair of scissors (do not shave them off, since this will affect the skin).

The skin must be completely dry and clean. Do not use creams, moisturisers or talc before applying a Durogesic DTrans patch. A patch should not be applied straight after a hot bath or shower. It is important to wait until the skin is completely dry and cool. Patients should be advised to rotate the area used for the patch as charted below
